The West Side Irish-American Club welcomes all and invites you to join! Your membership, starting at just $25 per adult, includes the monthly bulletin and selected special club event discounts. Our facilities include a main banquet hall, side hall, pavilion and pub—perfect venues for your wedding, shower, company party, family reunion or any special event.

Who are the Officer and Trustees of the Club?

Officer Bios

Danny Chambers currently is the President of the club. He has held other elected positions in the past. He has led the charge for the popular GOAT weekend, chairs the Annual Clam Bake, the mass for St. Patrick’s Day and previously helped chair the Claddagh Ball. Most recently he has brought back the Mother’s Day Brunch with support from his family.

John O’Brien is currently the Vice President after many successful years as President. There isn’t much at the club that John hasn’t previously helped with including maintenance, construction, planning concerts, planting trees and everything in between. His newest passion project has been the “Trip to Ireland” Tickets sold each March.

Mary Ellen Grealis currently serves as the club’s Treasurer and chairs Forever Young. She has previously been in charge of the Thanksgiving Raffle. She is often found selling 50/50 tickets at events such as the Steak Shoot and Clam Bake and helps on Friday night pub grub. In addition, she makes sure the trustees are scheduled to open and close the club, and she is often called to the building for assistance.

Christi Cruz currently serves as the clubs Financial Secretary. She has been instrumental in getting the clubs technology updated including getting membership available online. She has been assisting with the junior marching units for many years including the Junior Exhibition Dance, has previously chaired the Annual Family Picnic, and is currently co-chair of the Annual Fund Raffle.

Anne Mulloy Hodge currently serves as the clubs Secretary. She co-chairs the Annual Steve Mulloy Reverse Raffle, is a member of the GOAT planning committee, and chairs the Annual Senior Unit/Honorees Dance committee. She is also tasked with sending all email blast communications of upcoming club events to the membership.

Kevin McDonough currently serves as the clubs Sergeant-at-Arms. He is always found in the kitchen, leading McDonough’s brigade, helping with caterer contracts, and cooking for many events the club hosts throughout the year. He works diligently to make sure the kitchen is clean and ready for inspections. He also helps to chair the clubs Annual Steak Roast.

Trustee Bios

Kelly Dreamer is the newest addition to the board but has been active in many roles throughout the years. She has been leading the club’s majorette & flag units for many years. Most recently she has taken over the WSIA store including set ups at events such as the Irish Festival and the Irish boutique.

Tim Hanrahan has been a longtime club member, since the Madison days. Tim was previously on the board for 6 years from 2017-2023 and rejoined the trustees in 2025. Before and during those years he was responsible for room rentals, including setup and tear down. Additionally for two years he organized and scheduled the volunteer bartenders.

Tom Egan is newer to the board but not the club as he is a lifetime member. He assists with the Annual Night at the Races, lawn maintenance around the club, and anywhere else he is needed. He has been tasked to help with being a point person for the audio/visual equipment.

Heather Harvey has been an integral part of the board for many years. She coordinates the marching units for St. Patrick’s Day, making sure everything is in order for the day. She is responsible for upgrading the POS system, co-chairs the Annual Raffle, Junior Unit Exhibition Dance and puts together the Annual St. Patrick’s Day Ad book.

Kevin Hayes has been on the board for many years. He currently helps chair the Annual Night at the Races and also is one of the contacts that works with the GAA. He has also helped previously with back up the financial secretary when in need.

John Lackey has been on the board for many years. He is dedicated to the Tuesday maintenance team and completes any work needed each week along with the maintenance crew. He also assists with the 25-card game and is the liaison to the Pioneers.

Maureen Lavelle is the former Financial Secretary and held that position for many years. She has been involved with the Ladies Reverse raffle and the WSIA store. She currently can be found volunteering on Fridays for Pub Grub and any event that needs help.

Michael Lavelle has been on the board for many years and was previously the clubs Secretary. He currently heads up the Jerry Lavelle 300 club and plans the Annual Christmas Party. He is active in helping the marching units on Sundays, and assists the board with things such as reviewing the constitution and caterer contracts.

Pat Lavelle while she has been actively involved as a volunteer bartender for years she joined the board of trustees in 2024. At this time, she is currently in charge of all the clubs rentals and scheduling of bartenders. She has been involved with the Easter Bunny breakfast for years, the New Years Eve celebrations, Friday pub Grub, and recently took over the Annual Picnic.

Helen Malloy, a former president of the WSIA, wears many hats at the club. She currently is the head of the Entertainment committee and books all the bands from Friday night pub grub to the GOAT weekend. Additionally, she volunteers to bartend in addition to handling all of the bar ordering, she leads the monthly steak shoots, chairs the Annual Ladies Reverse Raffle, Senior/Honoree Dance, and many more events.

Patrick Malloy has been on the board for a few years and has been active with the building maintenance and upkeep. He can be found at the club every Tuesday doing whatever work that is needed. He has also been assisting with selling equipment that is no longer in use by the club.

Bill Rice has been a member of the board for many years and has been instrumental in making updates to both the interior and exterior including all the woodwork on the bars, stage, pillars, and staging room. Additionally, he has installed the clubs sound, tv, and av systems and is the on-call tech support. He has previously helped to chair the popular New Years Eve Party.
