WSIAC Statement Regarding CoronavirusDue to the unfortunate news that we will not be able to celebrate at the annual St. Patrick’s Day parade and mass at St. Colman’s parish, the West Side Irish-American Club Board of Trustees has met to discuss the future club events. We are taking it day by day and keeping public health and the safety of our community in mind as all decisions are made. If you plan on attending any events, please keep the CDC recommendations in mind. If anything changes, we will be sure to update you. We hope everyone has a safe and blessed St. Patrick’s Day. All fish frys and pub entertainment are cancelled until further notice. This includes St. Patricks day celebrations. We are happy to announce that one of our amazing catering companies, Brennan’s, is offering meals available for both pick-up and delivery from their Triskett Road location. They will have specials for St.Patricks day and daily specials. Will be able to attended classes after the first of the year. Bicycles NeededThe Telephone Pioneer’s Recyclist Program takes in bicycles of any size (however 20” bikes are especially needed) they repair, paint and renovates them. The team then uses these refurbished bikes as rewards for children by giving them a chance to win a bike if they do well in school and meet the standards set for attendance, grades and citizenship. The program also provide the opportunity for students to receive hands on instructions on how to maintain their bicycles from the team.
